Revive your iRiver H320 / H340 with a new battery

I've been told before that if you won't use your battery, to completely discharge it before storing it.. I would like to note that the following rumor is FALSE!. My battery used to last days on end (if not at least a week), but after leaving it discharged for 3 weeks, now it never finishes charging, and lasts half an hour. So I decided instead of chucking away the player, which
is still quite good for what it provides, I decided to replace the battery.

It turned out to be much easier than I thought. For anyone else who'se thinking of doing the same, I say go for it.

All you need is a battery. You can get one easily on ebay for about £10 - £15. Just search for the term 'iriver h340 battery'. Here's an example.

Here's a video tutorial on how to replace your battery in 7 minutes, in case the bottom feed doesn't work, click on the topic.

Here are two pictures of the insides of mine. The blue wrappings are protective pads for the hard drive (small and cute!)

Extra

It's also possible to replace the player's hard disk with another bigger sized one. Here's a link that shows you how. So far you could upgrade up to 80Gb of storage.
